Hiring me means your entire days music and entertainment is covered. I will only needs breaks around the speeches and one break during the party.
How many instruments do you play?
Four. Piano, Cello, Ukulele and Guitar. I offer all of these instruments for the ceremony and drinks reception. Many clients ask me to play the cello for the ceremony, particularly for entrances and registry signings, however, you are welcome to have any of these instruments for any song or piece of music. I really enjoy creating unique arrangements of popular songs. For the drinks reception I can play the guitar and ukulele as these fit well with the vibe and can be played in outdoor settings. Dinner onwards I start the Piano Man thing - engaging your guests, taking requests and singing, slowly raising the atmosphere leading to sing a longs and eventually and arm in arm dancing storm.
Additionally for ceremonies I’m happy to play church organs and to lead the hymns.
Do I need to hire in equipment?
For events in England and Wales I bring keyboard* in a piano shell, guitar, ukulele, cello, speakers, mics, lighting, and stage. I also provide post-it notes and pens for all the requesting. For events in Scotland, ROI, NI, and the rest of the world, keyboard, speakers, guitar and cello would need to be hired in.
*If the venue has a piano in it I can use it as a front to my keyboard, however for amplification and ease of movement purposes I prefer to always use my keyboard.
